Yes, you read that correctly.
Today, I am taking advice from a bar of soap.
It just so happens this bar smells of delicious pineapple-y and coconutty goodness AND gives really great advice that we could all take to heart…

Who couldn’t stand to make that their mantra tomorrow morning? Or right now?
I will be taking advice from this yummy bar of soap because today was a day to be reminded of all the really great things in our lives that we tend to take for granted. (I must admit that my Perfectly Posh order from Jill has impeccable timing!)
What did I realize today?
- My Grandma would have been 100 years old today. She passed not long after her 98th birthday, but she built a family bond that time and distance won’t sever. With the way we were all blowing up Facebook in celebration of her big day, there is no doubt of the mark she left on our family and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her! Happy 100th Birthday, Grandma! We sure do miss you!
- Too many of us take our health for granted. I recently learned of a sweet friend who is going through yet another struggle with her health that I can’t even imagine. I want to do everything I can to help her. We’re the same age! It’s humbling and makes me realize how much time I’ve wasted worrying about inconsequential things…like how much I weigh and being concerned with what other people are doing or thinking. None of that crap matters. Enjoy every second of your existence. Love hard. Play hard. And eat the damn cupcake!
- My daughters are amazing, and I am the lucky one who gets to be their Mommy! I sometimes question my worthiness to provide them with guidance and answers to the why’s, but I will embrace that we’re in this together and enjoy all of the sweetness.
Drop the comparisons and enjoy exactly what you have and who you are in this very moment.
I am in competition with no one…I hope we all make it.
And never underestimate that sometimes you can get really great life advice from a bar of soap…
